    GRINDER
K+G WETTER grinders are not only pleasing to the eye thanks to their design, they are unparalleled in the areas of quality and functionality as well: solid grinders with high rates of throughput which are capable of accurately and clearly cutting all types of meats with a hardly perceptible increase in temperature.

The machine housings are completely closed so that no spray water can enter - not even from underneath. The massive stainless steel case and the flat, smooth outside surfaces are easy and fast to clean. The hopper and the bottom plate are neatly welded to the housing and there's no insanitary overlapping. All machine parts coming into contact with product, including feed and work worm, cutting set, components and the lockring nut, are made of stainless steel as standard equipment. Cleaning and the observance of the working hygiene are no problem. This applies to the control panel aas well, which consists of a rugged membrane keyboard with a smooth surface.

D 114 mm Electro Grinder

The D 114 mm electro grinder is a solid and high-capacity tamping grinder with a favorable cost-performance ratio.

The bottom of the hopper is inclined such that solid materials slide easily into the filling shaft. There is no accumulation of cleaning water. The large distance between the hand protecting and the bottom allows the operator to feed numerous large pieces of product within a short period of time. The hand protecting can be pulled away from the filling shaft for easy, efficient cleaning.

D 114 and E 130 mm Automatic Grinders

The D 114 and E 130 mm automatic grinders are equipped with a two-speed drive unit which allows for high throughput rates of up to 60kg per minute - even with soft materials.

As opposed to the electro grinder, the D 114 and E 130 mm automatic grinders can be left to work on their own. A feed worm at the bottom of the filling hopper transports the starting materials to the work worm which compresses the material. The transfer area, as well as the work worm and the worm housing, have been designed and matched to function with one another such that the product is moved from one worm to the other without any additional stress, and is fed to the cutting unit with the necessary pressure. Both worms have the same rotation and conveying direction.

The drive shafts for the feed and work worms, as well as the mixer shaft, are all made of stainless steel and are seated in solid roller bearings. The work worm is driven by a powerful drive belt which assures low noise-levels (no gearbox). The feed worm is seated in bearings at both ends.

The front bearing can be easily removed by hand, and the feed can be dismounted. In the interest of accident prevention, the D 114 and the E 130 mm automatic grinders are equipped with a braking device for the work worm drive unit, and can be furnished with an optional, electrically protected safety guard as well. The safety guard is mandatory if grinding plates are used with hole diameters of larger than or equal to 8mm. The hopper is also secured with an electrically protected grate.

In order to prevent a dry running of knives and grinder plates, the work worm is started up in a delayed fashion, i.e. after start-up, product is conveyed from the feed worm up to the delivery casing of the work worm only by pressing the "Grinding I" key. The work-worm does not feed product to the cutting-unit until after this key has been released.

D 114 and E 130 mm Automatic Mixer-Grinders

The D 114 and E 130 mm automatic grinders are also available as mixer-grinders: robust grinders which quickly and thoroughly mix product for various types of sausage such as fresh minced sausage and air-dried raw sausage, as well as types of boiled sausage, and subsequently cut them clearly and cleanly.

Unlike the automatic grinder, the automatic mixer-grinder is equipped with a shaft with paddles which is located above the feed worm in the hopper. The form of the paddles guarantees intensive, although gentle and short mixing process. During mixing, the feed worm rotates in opposite direction. A flowing product current is generated between the mixing shaft and the feed worm, which intensifies the mixing process. As soon as the mixing process has been completed, can be switched on "grinding" and the rotation direction for the feed worm and the mixing shaft is reversed. The feed worm transfers product to the work worm, which conveys it to the cutting unit.
